Abrahams Residence – Dallas, TX

Abrahams Residence – Dallas, TX:

This palatial estate in the exclusive Preston Hollow area of Dallas needed a face lift of its grounds, and called on Scapes, Incorporated for design and construction services. Scapes took into account the French Renaissance style architecture of the house during the design development phase of the project, and what resulted is a beautiful landscape project that is sensitive to the vision of the owner as well as the north Texas climate. The existing driveway and motor court were completely redone in a tumbled cobble-style concrete paver which blends perfectly both in color and style. The centrepiece of the motor court is the large classical style water feature with jets, and cascading fountain in the middle.

The landscape plantings were also designed in the renaissance style, but also reflect the north Texas heritage by incorporating the large existing Oak trees as an integral part of the design. Large Italian Cypress trees stand guard on either side of the front door, and are used along the front elevation of the house to help scale down the height. The gardens are planted with dwarf Boxwood, Azalea, Roses, and pockets of colorful annuals. Spiral Juniper, and dwarf Topiary Junipers serve as accent points throughout the garden.

Scapes Incorporated listened to our vision, and that was reflected in the landscape design they presented to us. Their commitment to doing the job right is evidenced through their integrity, and the finished product speaks for itself! Scapes Incorporated is a wonderful landscaping company, and we couldn’t be happier about our experience with them.
