Stone Patio and Fire Pit Trophy Club – Willey Residence

Stone Patio and Outdoor Fireplace Project in Trophy Club: Willey Residence

The client retained the services of Scapes Incorporated to provide new landscaping for their backyard. The backyard already had a stone patio and outdoor kitchen, but lacked the aesthetics and softening effects of landscaping.

Scapes Incorporated created stone-lined planting beds along the back of the residence, using plantings of Red Yucca, Azaleas, Pittosporum and grasses, among others. The planting beds served as a foundation planting to soften the edge of the house, while greatly enhancing the aesthetics of the backyard. The new plantings work well with the stone paved patio.

In addition to new plantings along the perimeter of the home and patio, the landscape team created a couple of "pocket" beds to soften the back corners of the fenced yard. One bed is anchored with a Chinese Pistache tree and underplanted with Gulf Muhly grass. The other corner now contains a Redbud tree with associated grass and shrub plantings along the ground plane. Scapes Incorporated took what was essentially a blank slate and created a lush, and colorful landscape that compliments the home and patio. This project is an excellent of example of getting a lot, even on a smaller budget.

My wife and I received landscape proposals from several different landscaping companies. We liked the landscape design Scapes came up with over all of the others. We were also more comfortable with everyone we dealt with at Scapes. We had a couple of small issues when the work was complete, they were out in no time to get them resolved. Great people, great company. We will only be working with Scapes for our landscaing projects in the future.
